Hi I’m Trent

I’m a senior instructional designer and learning strategist. I design workshops, eLearning, and performance support for customer-facing and high-stakes teams, and I start every project with a clear picture of what people need to do differently on the job.

My background is in pharmaceutical and healthcare training, where accuracy, compliance, and measurable results all matter. That discipline carries into any industry. Whether the goal is launching a product, onboarding a team, or building a new skill, I design learning that people use.

How I Work

I bring structure to messy problems, creativity to dry content, and calm to fast-moving projects. I begin by listening, asking the right questions, and digging into what people actually need to do their jobs well. From there I design with stakeholders and subject matter experts, test ideas early, and measure what changes.

Outside the Work Stuff

Before I landed in learning design, I taught in public schools, managed teams in restaurants, and ran programs for nonprofits. Those jobs taught me to read a room, adjust on the fly, and lead with empathy, and they still shape how I work. I live in North Carolina with my wife and our two young kids. When I’m not designing training, you’ll probably find me outside, hiking, biking, gardening, or planning our next adventure.
